Synopsis
Deepwater Horizon is an American drama released in 2016, directed by Peter Berg. It is based on true events of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Rig Disaster that occurred in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. This film depicts the actions of the employees on the oil rig, describing their heroism from the lens of personal courage, responsibility, and the strength of collective action.
The movie portrays the main character Mike Williams, who is the chief electronics technician of the Deepwater oil drilling rig.
