Synopsis
“The Meg,” which is a “sci-fi” movie comes out on giants Megalodon sharks and is directed by Jon Turteltaub. Based on a novel named Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror written by Steve Alten, it revolves around much ‘scientifically’ wondered, and thought, ocean mysteries. The most interesting theory however, is about the collision with the unmistakable, mysterious giant creature which is thought to have existed two and a half million years ago.
The movie is set within a much advanced research facility underwater, the most southern tip of the Pacific Ocean and which is located within ‘Mana One’. It is a scientific facility where experts are gripped by thought of exploring the open ocean as deep and as mysterious as possible. The team of expert researchers are on an attempt to find and explore the lower reaches of the ocean. Deep down where, it is assumed, reaches of cold and pressure, which no human has touched, lie. The team of researchers are on an explore, and it seems as if an untouched underwater ‘paradise.’ Unfortunately, with every attempt, a huge ancestral beast of a creature swims into view – it is one giant Megalodon shark.

There were three protagonists in the movie. Each one taking up a unique role in the progression of the film. With one of them, James “Mac” Mackreides, voiced by Cliff Curtis, provides major support for the character of Jonas. Mackreides, along with the rest of the Mana One team, is credited as one of the elderly members too. Mackreides easily fits the role of a “father-analog” as he provides wisdom and encouragement throughout the mission. One of the supporting protagonists, Jaxx Herd, is voiced by Ruby Rose. She works as the lead engineer in the development and maintenance of the mission’s explorer. Herd is recognized for the brilliant engineering capabilities she possesses. Dr. Zhang is played by Winston Chao who dedicates himself to ensuring the team’s safety while strongly believing in the scientific importance of the work being done. Dr. Zhang smartly holds the position of head for the entire research. Shuya is the youngest member of the family being 8 years old. She features alongside Suyin, her mother, who brings in an emotional aspect to the film while providing charm and humor at the same time.
The movie is accomplished by film director Jon Turteltaub who is recognized for National Treasure, along with some other works which are driven by an adventurous theme. Screenwriting credits go to Dean Georgaris, Jon Hoeber, and Erich Hoeber who managed to create a captivating and thrilling film with its exotic scam of science and action.
The Meg currently holds a rating of 5.6 on IMDb and has received mixed feedback from critics and audiences alike. Jonas’s ability to remain brave, Suyin’s ability to work with intelligent strategy, and Mac’s ability to lead reflects the idea of each individual serving the purpose of a mission as a system.

It remains like the rest, with the gleaming hope of carried to the ease of rest being the dramatic ocean delight, quick-moving, with the colossal creature within.
Anyone looking for an adventure of fun along with excitement and a rush of thrill, does not need to doubt for a second. The Meg resolves the question of the mystery a human would hold about. The fact of the matter is, coming from with nature does not need to be exploited. It remains, full of secrets and flame surprises to be discovered.
