Story Overview (Synopsis)
We begin our story with Gabe Walker, a passionate mountain climber and a rescue climber in the Rocky Mountains. Gabe Tucker gets into a tragic accident on a rescue mission and due to the trauma he suffers, we are unsure of the impact it has on him after the mission. Gabe is not at fault, it is one of his colleagues, Hal Tucker, who unfortunately gets injured but in Gabe’s case is to blame. Hal Tucker’s case of blame leads Gabe to resentment and ultimately to retire from his profession and his life before the profession.
Resting, he is called to the case of suspicion to rescue an old colleague and in the process ostensibly one of his colleagues gets captured and is a ploy of a conspiracy, the name of this conspiracy he is unaware of. Days or most months later he comes back to the mountains where he meets his colleagues. Gabe wraps up his rope while in the process he gets captured into a web. Little does he know, this web is formed by a gang. These gang members tried to move a large amount of cash by a helicopter but as it landed, the helicopter and cash disappeared in the mountains.
Currently, the criminals require assistance in pinpointing the location of the scattered money which is hidden somewhere amongst the rugged peaks. They compel the Duo, Gabe and Hal, to assist them in navigating the biomes, dressed as guides. Gabe must tap into his mountaineering theories and physical prowess in order to survive the conditions, outsmart the criminals, and most importantly, protect the people he loves.
Suspense, themed around Gabe for the most part, fills the rest of the movie, for him, as he traverses icebound slopes, conquers titanic cliffs, and traverses perilous masses of land, all to get his lost confidence back, while always being a step ahead. The movie ends with suspenseful encounters and a sense of closure for the characters.

Sylvester Stallone is the actor who embodies Gabe Walker, the protagonist who, as a result of Stallone’s performance, is a man who is emotionally touched and full of depth because of his past, and is now going into the present in order to fix his wrongdoings. Thus, Stallone’s personal touch to the character came from him swooping in to help with the screenplay.
John Lithgow plays Eric Qualen. The man Qualen is the leader of the band of people who lost the money. Lithgow brings emotion to every frame he appears in, enhancing his normally calm character with light traces of subtle maliciousness.
